The Amazing Journey of Dilkhush Jha: An Interview with TKWsIBF Alumnus

We bring to you a conversation we had with one of our recently passed out alumnus Dilkhush Jha and his exciting journey into the Banking and Finance industry.

Before joining TKWsIBF…

What options did you consider after scoring 92% in XII?
I was getting admission in Kirori Mal College and I had cracked a merit seat for B.Com with Triple Qualifications at TKWsIBF. Since I was confused, I joined both for a month and then decided to take a call.

Why did you drop out of a regular degree college?
During this one month, I realised that the campus life is fun but the focus is entirely on bookish learning. On the contrary at TKWsIBF, I was doing experiential learning tasks and getting exposed to practical applications of subjects being taught.

Life at the TKWsIBF campus…

Was Triple Qualification easy?
For someone who is consistent, the integrated curriculum and similarity of subjects made it easy. Students can complete B.Com(Hons) from Delhi University, along with Company Secretary from ICSI and Advanced Diploma in Banking & Finance. In fact, I scored All India 22nd Rank in my CS Foundation.

How was your journey at TKWsIBF?
It was a transformative journey. Studies were fun and practical. We did projects, research, industry-linked assignments, corporate visits and presentations. We celebrated cultural programs and sports events, attended an outdoor leadership camp, participated in live stock market competitions and even organised a Bankers Meet.

Life after TKWsIBF Triple Qualification…

Do you think you took the right decision?
It turned out to be the best decision of my life. Presently, I am working as a Credit Analyst in Commercial Lending Dept. with Hero Fincorp, the fastest growing NBFC in India. Many of my peers who had joined a plain graduation are still struggling with career decisions. Some are employed in make-shift jobs and others are now looking for professional courses. This was my journey into business banking with a B.Com (Hons) after scoring 92% in class XII.

What advice you have for other meritorious students?
Now that I’m in corporate, many aspirants approach me with this question. My advice to all of them is to combine academic studies with professional qualifications, as I did.

Many students like Dilkhush Jha have been able to see the value in combining the regular B.Com with added qualifications and experiential learning. Industry values students who have practical exposure with sound academic knowledge. And Triple Qualification from TKWsIBF fits right here.

The Institute is inviting application for Dr Kalam’s Vision Scholarship which will help others like Dilkhush to realise their dreams.
